Massachusetts Portrait Photographer | Wedding in Gloucester by Tara Starr Photography

I stopped shooting weddings in 2015.  You really can't shoot it all and weddings are just an entirely different ball game.  After shooting about 30 weddings I decided to focus on only portraits.  It was always my favorite part of shooting a wedding anyway.  I am just not made to be a "fly on the wall".  I am very drawn to faces and people and really creating the total experience for my clients.  I love the chit chat and getting to learn my clients stories.  It's what I am really passionate about.  But when this special client (aka one of my cheerleaders that I coached for 4 years) asked me to shoot her wedding how could I say no?  Besides getting to know this stunning bride's wonderful family (and actually also the grooms family) during their high school years and sharing amazing experiences together as her coach, I also started taking pictures of her pretty early on in my business when she graduated college.  Since then I have regularly photographed her beautiful little family these past four years.  I love them so much and getting to be there for their wedding day was such an honor!
