When it comes to wedding-planning priorities, booking the perfect wedding photographer is at the top of the list. From your engagement session to your bridal portraits, there are a lot of opportunities to stand in front of the camera. But one that might not be on your radar- A boudoir session.  For brides-to-be, this is an opportunity to dress up in something sexy and work it.  Sure, getting your picture taken while posing in lingerie may seem intimidating, but with the right photographer and attitude, it can be a totally liberating experience!  Here, five reasons why you should consider a pre-wedding boudoir session.

A boudoir session is a great way to celebrate you and to create some amazing photographs that reflect just how incredible you really are. We are so rush-rush all the time and it's easy to forget to stop and give ourselves some self love and appreciation for who we are right now.  Especially at this special time of a bride's life.  Imagine the power these images will have in 20, 30, even 50 years' time...when you can look back at these memories and see just how beautiful, confident, and sexy you were at this stage of your life.

Imagine their face when you surprise them with an album full of stunning images on your big day.  Bridal boudoir photos are the wedding gift these days.  I just got to witness first hand this nervous groom sit on the edge of a hotel bed just one room away from his stunning bride.  I handed him his gift and watched him all goggly eyed as he flipped through the pages in awe and completely surprised with his super personal gift.  I just don't think an engraved flask would have had the same effect.  It was the best feeling ever!

Some time in front of the camera will make you way more comfortable on your special day.  A boudoir session is an intimate experience between client and photographer, requiring a lot of guidance and trust.  You connect on a much deeper level than say, a family portrait session.  The more trust, the better the images are as a result.  With the right photographer these images should exude confidence and there is nothing more sexy than confident woman!
